Keep Heaping it on..

arg! DONKEY MANIA! Here is a question. You have 89. The flop comes 953. One guy bets his whole stack, you cold call, and the best and brightest player in the world who always gets all the chips in with the best hand and always gets sucked out on comes over the top of you for 60% of your stack.

You A) Think person 1 and person 2 are bluffing and call.
B) Think person 1 is bluffing but what the hell call anyways
C) Fold and lick your wounds
D) Suckout on SirF who has J9 and ends up in 3rd when 89 rivers an eight and 24
runner-runner's a flush.

I also bubbled out of the 180 SNG. I was actually slightly behind on this hand pre-flop. However, can nobody lay down jacks? I dunno. I might just be steaming from the hand before where I was called by A4 after I raise 3x. "EHHHHAHHHHAWWW", yeah, I did that joke before, and called to the river with Ace high nothing.

I dunno what I need to do in order to win.

SirF,
I had a similar experience with A4 yesterday in a $10 MTT. I think we do not fully comprehend the power that is A4 soooted. It may be some sort of gifted hand like the Hammer that only a select few can appreciate :)
Good luck the rest of the week, I think I may try one of those 180 SNG's for the first time today or tomorrow.

Yo, get a hold of this person for tournaments over in the Boston area...they seem nice with great payouts and it will give you some live play

Nope. If I make a bad read and lose I have no problem with that. If I make an fantastic read, am way ahead, and get beaten by two people with no real good expectation to win, I get a little pissed.

By the way, you know you were favored to lose this hand if all three stuck around for the river, right?

J9 vs. 89 vs. 42 and this board makes you about 45% to win. That means you lose to someone most of the time.

Not the worst suckout ever.

CJ: I suppose. The worse part was that the 24 guy who had the best shot against me (8 outs, not horrible, even though he hit a runner-floosh) had the smallest stack. 2K. The guy who had the 89 (3 outs) pushed 5K OVER what the guy with the 24 had. So even if I lose to the 24o guy I FOR SURE make an extra 5K. Hence, I go from 5K in chips to 10K and get a great chance to bubble out!
