Mookie Fun

Well I pushed my Aces into Queens, got down to 165 chips, worked it back up to 4K, lost it all again on two minor suckouts, worked the 265 back up to 4K and finished 5th in the Mookie when someone caught a runner-runner straight on me with AQ vs KQ. Um. Yeah. Nice. I am so sick of these bad beats. I have had now six or seven runner-runner incidents in the last week including catching a runner-runner boat so I could get stacked by QQ quads. Um. Nice. I also placed 100th in the 5$/NLHE MTT. I won like five bucks. Poker Gods enough is enough. The world needs to go back to normal. I was just getting used to losing coinflips all the time and now you make me lose 80%+ hands all the time. It is Icks turn! Go get him!

*** Mook will have a nice writeup about the Mookie. Go see him.

I would refer you to the last two screenshots I have posted if you are under the delusion I am nursing anything in the way of Divine Favor these days.

May I suggest our good, if litigious, friend DuffleBooby, self-professed "Retard"-at-large as the next recipient of your mis-fortune? I gave at the office.

For the conspiracy minded among us....There seems to be some airborne virus or something. all of the blogs I read, and mine talk about crap cards....I just don't have the right theory yet, do we just all suck?

Tiltpirate, we don't all suck. It's just no one posts about the hands that hold up.

I think we are all so good that the fish have resorted to runner-runner or 1 outers to beat us instead of the usual 2-outers and flush draws.

Ahh... someone needs hug...

Seriously, have you considered that when you tilt (even a little) from some of these beats you change your game ever so slightly? I definitely THOUGHT I always played the "same" game even when I was losing, but more and more I notice that when I go on bad losing streaks, its because I forgot some little trick of play I was doing back when I was winning.

I know its easy to point to huge suckouts and bad beats and say "those did me in"... BOY howdy! do I know its easy to do that... but you also got to ask yourself, did you really need to be in that spot where some jackass could snipe you like that.

Thats's kind of what I was asking with my "playing pocket Aces post flop with a flush draw on the baord" question. Sometimes you have to play the players along with the odds. I'm now really trying to minimize getting all-in against people I know will call on 1 or 2 outers, because they DO hit from time to time. If you watch closely, you can tell the guys who are going to take that gamble and leave yourself more cushion. But then again, what do I know... I'm playing 2 outers like they're going out of style.

Ok. What part of RUNNER-RUNNER, I.E. He needed both fucking cards to hit to win did you not understand? You can not get someone more bend over than that except maybe Scott's 1 outer hand.

He thinks that runner runner means that each "runner" means one, therefore, runner (1) + runner (1) = 2
