I may or may not agree with how you played this hand, but I can't fault getting it in as an 81% favorite. The results-based, "Tommy the Choo-Choo Train" steam control is where I see possible room for improvement.

But then again, you've got WoW and your blog to go nuts with. I might also suggest a punching bag. Or a wife... jk!

A year or so ago, maybe more, I learned from others around me who would play rags such as this to perfection. Stacking people who won't ever get away from overpairs with garbage two pair was common.

However, with that all said, these are exactly the types of beats you have to be prepared for taking these chances. Without risk, there is no reward.

And playing 23c has risks which this hand obviously demonstrates.

Maybe try to control the pot size once in a while, and not just JAM on every single edge you might perceive?

Just a thought.

I used to read the Bearenstain Bears books to my kids when they were young. My favorite made-up book: The Bearenstain Bears and the Big BM. Looks like I'll have to add your to me collection.

honestly, 23sOOted is the worst starting hand in poker. you hit a straight or flush, you're most likely on the bottom end of it and getting all ur chips in with bottom 2p in a cash game is a recipe for busto.

take a look at ur ptracker stats. 2p is a setup hand in ring games. bottom 2p?? pfft

just sayin'
