Morosus

morose

Main Entry:
mo·rose Listen to the pronunciation of morose
Pronunciation:
\mə-ˈrōs, mȯ-\
Function:
adjective
Etymology:
Latin morosus, literally, capricious, from mor-, mos will
Date:
1565

1 : having a sullen and gloomy disposition 2 : marked by or expressive of gloom

How is that for a first in a Waffle's post. I used a big word. Mom would be proud. I usually take a "writing" style that is more simplistic because I feel like I want to write for the masses. It does not mean I do not know big words. I actually was very good at big words in school.

I am in a funky mood. Poker is going ok. I focused on HU this weekend and went 16-6 over 22 games. I made a little profit. Bumped back over 1K. I have been thinking a lot how I do not see myself alive in five years. That is pretty gloomy and sullen.

It is funny in some ways my life is very very good and I can really see it just needs a few tiny little tweaks in the right direction to be very good. On the other hand I feel like I am trapped in a pit of gloom and despair with no way out.

As per Kevin Smith, the word "morose" should always be followed by "mother fucker" as in "Look at this morose mother fucker."

I feel ya man. I got 14 days 'til I turn 40.
