I Done Did It

I bought the PC tonight. Spent 30 bucks out of my main checking and the rest was poker winnings and a gift card for Xmas. As usual Best Buy was a fucking pain in my ass. I had to wait for like over an hour. My stomache hurts now. Hate those motherfuckers. The guys selling the computers were fine but they did not have enough people so hence the waiting. I also love how people wander in and jump you in line. I almost kicked some little kids ass. Peace.

I5 might have been nice but it should be a very servicable machine. Right now Newegg has a 6770 GPU that should keep your PS from sweating. It has a $20 coupon that makes it $99.95. That is a lot of GPU and that series is in the value sweet spot for now.

That gives you a nice dual port setup. I'm guessing you might have an HDTV in the bedroom where you'll probably have it. That will let you use the HDMI port and use the TV as a media TV.

BTW, one shock with the high in system (at the time) was the PS. Only 350W. Machines aren't running nearly as hot/lot/needy as the were a while back.

I have a 6700 series GPU and it has run every game I have thrown at it with exceptional FPS rates. And that's with the graphics bells and whistles enabled.

With BB have 30 day return, you might look at:

It a "Few Dollars More" but I'll grant it is "A Fist Full of Dollars"...sorry Clint.

With 8G mem, i5, 500W PS, super GPU etc., it'd be a nice choice. With what you're planning to spend on upgrades, it'd be more cost effective.

But, you'd have to return that neat cow box.
