Sometimes its Easy
You call a pre-flop bet for $5 in a PLO8 game with a high hoping the other guy just has a low or something. Heck, you are getting 3:1 pre-flop so why not. It is Omaha right? The flop comes something like the following.. and well, your opponent tries to catch his Boat.. Nice, ehh?
Oh yeah, umm, grinding, right..

The flop was nice, but the nine on the turn was your money card.

Wow that's a crappy PLO8 hand to call a raise with preflop lol. Nh luckbox.

I am confused.. errr.. no boat.. I thought I would need him to make a boat to extract all his chips but he kept betting into me..

Ya know I am not so sure that is "A Crappy Hand to call a raise with".. We have 3 players in so I am getting 3:1 on my money pre-flop, I have position, and it is easy to see if I hit the flop hard or not. I make a nut straight and I continue, I miss and I fold. Pretty easily playable hand even if the 7 does not really help me much.
Obviously I got the best flop possible.

Wow! Nice hand!

A diamond royal flush? Pffft. I've seen better.

I'd call a small raise with Waffles.
If you feel you can lay down a second best flush (obviously not the case here...) I'd play that hand getting 3:1 on a loose table (a.k.a. the player on your left who can't lay down trip aces).
And FYI... "Grinding PLO8" is an oxymoron. :)
