Boring

Being responsible is boring. I am doing the Feurgy thing but I think I have nothing to write about. I mean ok I took 2 bucks and turned it into 91 in 1 week. SO who gives a fuck? I fully admit 50 was from Advertising but 2 to 41 in two weeks is pretty good.. especially since I have not been playing much. I have had 3 sessions where I went like 20-3 (in total) which helps a bunch.. No hugely losing sessions yet either knock on wood.. But I dunno... being good is boring. Jesus does not get commercials cause he is nice and quiet and unassuming.. Think of all the good no-name professionals like Cunningham who just play poker. Boring. Oh well..

Winning poker is boring, whether it's cash, SnGs, or even tournaments.

Well there is two execption. If you're a LAG tournament donk luckbox you can play a ton of hands and either flop monsters or suckout or if you play PLO where you can see 75% of flops.

Problem is not many of us are the former and if you are the latter you better have a deep roll.

I can see your point. Winning only brings a quiet smile to my face. Losing will have me pacing the room, screaming IDIOTS! while scaring the crap out of the dog. Much more fun. ;)

Well thank god you have all that money left from being a break even poker player.

Play more PLO 6-max.

You'll never get bored.

I'm with Drizz on this one and I would even go so far as to add the 8 to the PLO...if that doesn't get you into action junky mode...what else will...just think about all the ways they can outdraw you...if that's not good for a full-blown tilt-waffles-revival, nothing is... ;-))

I'd like to think if I ever put on a 20-3 run at heads up I wouldn't be bored with it! That's impressive Waffles, nice work. I don't think I've played 23 heads up matches in my lifetime, so I suppose I probably could imagine getting bored with the monotony and redundancy of the games. But bored to the point where I would consider playing WoW over poker?! NEVER! ... You geek.

I get your point though about pros... I used to think guys like Jesus and Cunningham were the coolest players out there as they always just seemed so darn smooth. But after watchin' so much poker, I know I would be much much more entertained and appreciate the experience more playing with the likes of Ivey, or Negreanu, or Hellmuth over these "boring" players that I used to idolize more.

Oh, and I loved the comment over at my blog... please don't bother coming back into the MATH, your absence is the only explanation for my success!!! :-) There's no way I three-peat if you're there next week!

I don't think AC is a no-name professional... There are times I feel poker is a grind but it always depends. Switching from full ring to 6 max and vice versa always helps... making moves on a cash table also generates excitement since it leads to an inevitable big bluff... I don't do it often enough but bluffing is always fun.

Like a lot of people, I love the action, which is why I play a lot of O-8.

Maybe this is why I went back to work.
