Waffles On Evolution

Why does deceit and game playing in women seem to be an evolutionary trait. I mean if you look at the human race it would seem that the women who crouched down, lifted their asses in the air, and took genetic material would be the ones who survived and procreated. Not the ones who played games and were all hard to get.

So is the evolution of the modern day women something learned? Did a period of time exist when women just gave it up. We then got into a more progressive society and people convinced women that they had to play these games. It was only proper and right for it to happen? So the learned behavior overtook the natural.

Perhaps it was never that easy though. In order to ensure the survival of the fittest men perhaps evolution built in the hard to get ability of women. If the man was too weak to follow the chase and play the game then he was not worthy enough to procreate. Perhaps the game is in itself a genetic safeguard against unmotivated males reproducing.

This has been Science with Waffles. Peace.

What great parental examples to get your son thinking about dating. You're right about the kid needing balls -- huge balls.

In your defense, damned if you'd moved out and damned if you didn't. And, you are only 40:60 of the problem with your wife in the solid lead.

There is an evolutionary explanation for the reason why women play games. The reason is that men are driven to procreate with as many women as possible, since we have so much sperm. Women, on the other hand, have limited eggs (ovulating monthly, whereas we can shoot our load multiple times a day). Women, therefore, are not hardwired for getting as many men as possible. They get pregnant and then cherish the child that came from their precious eggs. And thank god, too, because we need parenting.

Here is the rub: Women don't just want a guy to fertilize their egg. They want a guy to help raise their offspring. Men, however, are not hardwired to do this. We would just as soon move onto the next chick and get her pregnant too, to keep our DNA alive. So, women had to develop ways to encourage/trick men into sticking around after having sex. That's what games-playing is. It isn't about a woman wanting to get laid. It's about a woman wanting to keep the man around after sex.
