Great Post..
.. in the works.. and man is it going to be good, until then your just going to have to put up with Wes. He made one of those great comments that makes me scratch my head as well as respect the hell out of him. Actually as much as I argue with CJ, Wes, and anyone else I have yelled at lately I respect the hell out of all of you. Except Ick.
How do you couple thinking you probably have the best hand with losing as little as possible if you do not.
Here I'll give you some pointers. When value betting, first assign your opponent(s) to a range of hands. Then you look at your hand. Then assess if your hand is ahead of this person's range of hands. If so, shovel money into the pot. If not, proceed cautiously.

I think this could be great advice and I need to think about it. It is obviously something we talk about alot.. playing the other player. However it is not as easy to do as one might think. I asked this question to some of the blogger breatheren gathered last night: What range of hands do you put me on? The response from my soul brother Ick was: 53o-AA. You know what? He was right. So does that mean I have made my game psychotic and chaotic enough to foil good strategy like Wes suggests? As you play better opponents does it get harder to put them on hands for this very reason. I am not sure. Perhaps I rule.
I will say I could not put ANYONE on K8o all black cards on the hand I posted. It is just mind boggleing.. perhaps when I get to the level where the plays people make have some amount of logic to them I will be able to apply these advanced concepts until then I read alot more out of betting patterns. Not as good as Mr. Dreamy but working on it. Wait until you see the read he made last night. It was psychic. Until then enjoy.

Still at the point when I can't lay the hand down, even though I'm beat. Wish Stars gave you more than 1 minute in your time bank.

"Except Ick." Again, Waffles' spelling comes through again nicely...although I think this one was a bit more intentional. Hehe. And no, I don't have a blog yet! Remembering, from my childhood, my parents asking, "If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?"

Waffles,
Stay away from Mel or I will bury you in a backlot in Vegas where no one finds you.
Besides, it's obvious Slb is more than willing to keep you warm at night...gimp suit and all...
