House Keeping
I was getting a little fed up with the look of the site. Too many Blog links on the right hand side. So I decided to remove all of the links. If you want to get to one of the over 100 Blogs that were listed there, I have provided a link. I will update the list every week or so. I moved the archives down, streamlined the current account stats, and was going to put Maudie's Image in, but I had some issues, so I will get that up once I get it worked out.
I asked BB about statistical sample size and as usual he came through. So to get a real feel against many opponents you need to play about 25K hands! Yikes! I have close to that in my whole Poker career!!! Here is the problem with that. Since the .50/1 days I have changed my play ALOT! Hell, about midway through the 3/6 level I started playing slightly differently.. and I would be surprised if my game did not change in the 5/10 level. Buckle down a little and become more serious perhaps! So chances are I will not get a sufficient sample size until I decide to stay put at a level for 3-4 months. It might be time for that.
I may be a little over sensitive here, but do people think I am coming on a little too strong? Arrogant? heh. I do not mean to say 3/6 or 5/10 is easy. I am just playing well and having fun and getting really excited. I see bad players at every level so far, and these are the people I am taking money from. I am sure better players than me roll there eyes when they read my Blog, but so be it. I write what I see, from my flawed perspective. I only have what I have experienced to go on. So if I get too cocky slap me down, bear with me, and I am sure variance will rear it's ugly head and put me in my place. Until then I am going to enjoy the experience, learn as much as possible, and hopefully keep beating whatever level I play at. Wish me luck!

I certainly don't feel you are bragging, my perspective is that you're being completely honest and reporting the results you've seen.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if your success has created a bit of jealousy in some readers. Not everyone who plays is a winner. (really! I'm serious!)
You'll have people who are looking forward to you having a losing streak, coming back here and saying "I told you so."
My philosophy: You play poker to better yourself as a player. The competition is with yourself, not with other readers, not with other bloggers. If people don't like what they're reading, I say fuck 'em ;)

Can't wait for you to get to 30/60. Remember my motivation post? That is all you baby!
As far as what you write and how you come off...who cares? I love going back and reading my posts from 4 months ago and seeing where my thoughts were. I basically just blurt out what is on my mind. Having you do the same is fun to read. If you watered down your posts to anything less than honest and open, it would be less fun reading.

I don't wish you a losing streak.....
unless I'm sitting at your table :)

Ah, doubleas and badblood are both right again, as usual.
1. This blog is your blog. It can be whatever you want it to be. Some people write for their audience; others write for themselves, and still others (me) try for a mix. It's your choice, and nobody can fault you for whatever you choose as long as you're true to yourself.
2. Not everyone is a winner. Statistically, it's impossible. Look at the bottom of your "Summary" tab in PokerTracker. Mine shows "Winners: 1,767 (40.32%) Losers: 2,615 (59.68%)" Of course, that doesn't mean that all the winners are winners, or that all the losers are losers -- I may have caught some on a lucky streak, others on a bad day. The point is simply that between a) the rake, b) the fact that somebody has to lose for somebody else to win, and c) the fact that one winner can make several people losers, there will always be more net losers than net winners.

I think you should keep doing what you're doing, SirF, both in terms of poker and the poker blog.

Go ahead and post whatever you want, whenever you want, in whatever style you want. Anyone who doesn't like what you're writing and keeps reading has issues.
I hope you hit $5000 in 60 days.

Let me know if I can help with that logo - I noticed that there's still some "garbage" around the edge of it on sites with dark backgrounds - I can clean that up and customize it for you if you wish.. e-mail me.
8^) M.
PS - I agree with the above, as well - this is your blog - do with it as you will!
